Automatic update had attempted several times to install the subject update
without success. I have tried to install it through Microsoft Update manually to no avail. Has anyone the key to getting this update installed on Window XP Pro |

Please do this ... go to Start > Run > type in
%windir%\KB943460.log Click OK or press Enter Post the contents of the KB943460.log into your reply. Also, open Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Make sure that the 'Show updates' box is checked. Scroll down and see if Windows Installer 3.1 (KB893803) is listed.
