Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2003 (KB955466) Failed

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Junk Email Filter (KB957257) and
Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2003 (KB955466) both
failed...repeatedly.

Junk e-mail filter gives: Error Code: 0x80070643

Excel update gives: Error Code: 0x80070643

I've followed the advice offered in the "find solutions" link...to no avail
("You receive error 0x80070643 when you are installing Office 2003 Updates.
Updates fail to install because ose service is disabled or cannot be started.
Applicable Office versions: Office 2003")

These updates don't work on machines running XP Pro SP3 and Vista SP1.

Nothing I've tried has gotten these patches to apply/work.

What gives?

I have the same problem. The error-code is 0000057E. How is the solving of
the problem?

ok why can't we seem to use the update for the microsoft office, I cannot
update those, so yea what gives I would appericate some help with this it
happens all the time.
