Security Update for Microsoft Office Word 2003 (KB954464)

When I update Microsoft, I receive the following error message as well as the
following error message: Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB921598).
I am currently using XP SP3. Can anyone assist me with this please.

What "following error message" are you referring to ? You haven't
included it in your post, Michael.
Suggest you post to the Office Updates newsgroup and include the error
message or, post back here with it so that someone can assist you:

When I update Microsoft, I am unable to update the Security Update for
Microsoft Office 2003 (KB921598) and the Security update for Microsoft Office
Word 2003 (KB954464). As I try to install these high-priority updates, the
installation is initialized, but then after trying to install each
update...it indicates "failed". Then a pop-up window is displayed afterwards
indicating that "some updates were not installed" and lists these two updates:

Security Update for Microsoft Office 2003 (KB921598) and
Security Update for Microsoft Office Word 2003 (KB954464)

Download KB921598 from here and *save* it:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/i...splayLang%3den

Ditto for KB954464:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/i...splayLang%3den

Close *all open programs and browsers*.

Install KB9544464 first by running
office2003-KB954464-FullFile-ENU.exe

Then install KB021598 by running office2003-KB921598-FullFile-ENU.exe

Did that get them installed, Michael ?

Yes, it di...it at least told me the reason as to why it could not be
installed. I reinstalled Word and then ran the update and all is good...as
always, thank you for your great work!

You're mowst welcome, Michael. If there's enough disk space it's best to
allow Works to retain the local installation source files when first
installing it. Otherwise one gets the message to insert the CD.

This tool is *supposed* to resolve that issue for Office 2003:
