Security Update Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Serv Pack 2 (KB936

I am unable to install this "important" update, and it keeps popping up. I
have a Vista operating system. I tried shutting down my spyware, anti virus,
and the firewall, but it still shows "failed". I appreciate any help anyone
has to offer.
