security update SP1 failure 0x8007F302

When I try to update Security Update for Outlook Express Service Pack 1
(Windows 2000), I am getting an installation failure - 0x8007F302. Can anyone
tell me how to fix it?

I am getting the same problem.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook Express and it still has the same error.

Their help files on this issue don't seem to be helpful at the moment, I'm
pulling a Google on "0x8007F302"

Google turned up:

So looked like had a corrupt Outlook Express...
Went to MS site & reinstalled MS-Internet Explorer w/sp1 & did a reinstall
all components.
Shutdown/rebooted.
Did MS updates again, had 5 (including problem one)...all installed OK
Shutdown/rebooted.
Did MS updates...none needed.

So I'm going to try reinsalling Internet Explorer instead of jsut Outlook
Express now.

WOW - You are great!!! I never thought of Googling that error number. I
wouldn't have thought it would come up with anything useful. BUT lesson
