Security update for SQL Server Pack 2(KB948109)

I have tried to install this update several times but get the following error
code: 0x737D.

Is there a solution to install this update?

Yes, I have tried to install this update many, many times, and have received
the
same error code, 0x737D. It seems a lot of people are experiencing this same
issue. Hopefully, MS will take note and offer us a solution.

well i would not say go that far, as we know the media can mess things up
worst.lol also for all the years i have been using MSos this is one of maybe
a couple of times I had trouble installing Bill's and company software. Keep
up the good work MS and let get this issue behind us.

Same problem here. No apparent useful solution. This is on a remote server
so I can't boot into "safe mode" as one unhelpful suggestion seemed to
indicate.

I hope this isn't critical because it's *not* getting installed until
Microsoft fix the update so it works properly or come up with a useable
workaround.

I wonder if they know if an update is failing automatically, that would be
handy if not.

I have the same problem and took it to Windows Update suppoprt! What a joke.
I was told that I would have to go to SQL Server Support and $100/hour to
get them to fix their broken software. Is it just me or is there something
wrong with this picture??

Add another one to the long list of dissatisfied users.

Not only did it not install it stole 110 Mb of disk space trying which it is
not giving back.

Anyone else fed up with all this disappearing diskspace

I had the same problem, but after I turned on all the services related to
SQLSever. I was able to update the SP.
To turn on the services:

1. Click on Start, and then Run, type in msconfig, and click on OK.
2. Click on Services tab, and check all the services with the word "SQL" in
it, then click on Ok.
3. You have to restart your computer.

After restarting your computer, try to update again. Hopefully this may help.

If you are unable to update the MS Office, do the same, but turn on "Office
Source Engine".

Sorry but every service that can be turned on is on. There were 3 sql server
services and they were all on. It has been about a month now, I am now
debating the option that the windows update team gave me which was to simply
hide the update so it doesn't keep showing up. This is what I call REAL
customer service!!

I have tried hiding the update on about 25 machines in a teaching lab I
support, but it won't go away. I hid it 2 ways: from the yellow shield in the
tray and by using IE at update.microsoft.com.

It will not go away.

Now this problem is serious for me though. I have a 2k3 server with the same
problem and now backup exec won't run.

What wonderful crap to waste time on :0
