http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798 and
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822158

It "may" be the best to post in your "old" thread - or one of those, since
there are at least two with two differend problems. And please note, that
in here "most" posters are just users like you trying to help other users.
In case you want to have support from MS, feel free to contact them directly.

Bye,
Freudi

Tomas
Apologies for the length
Searching in the update group, which you can do even in that archaic web
interface discussion group that you are using, will show you there have been
a lot of problems with this particular update.
In this case there does not appear to be one solution that fixes it for all.
That is why one needs to know what you have done, in detail, to get this
update installed, and why various fixes are suggested. If you search then
you can read what has been suggested - if you cannot be bothered then why
should others do it for you?
You have already been given links but you do not say if you have followed
them through completely.
The best I can suggest to you is below - probably the best comprehensive
advice when it comes to these Black Tuesday updates - they are from a well
respected member of this group.
In addition, please take time out to read the first link before you
progress - it may help you in future posting

How to ask a newsgroup question:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375

How Not to Get Help in Newsgroups
http://users.tpg.com.au/bzyhjr/liszt.html

Please do not use text grammar in posts - lots find it annoying, some find
it unreadable(me), some find it childish so a large number who read such
posts will ignore it, and of course you will not get the help.

Here is the comprehensive advice, reprinted with acknowledgement to PA Bear.

Start a free Windows Update support incident request:
https://support.microsoft.com/oas/de...spx?gprid=6527

Support for Windows Update:
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/wusupport

Customers in the U.S. and Canada can receive technical support from
Microsoft Product Support Services at 1-866-PCSAFETY. There is no-charge for
support calls that are associated with security updates. When you call,
clearly state that your problem is related to a Security Update and cite the
update's KB number (e.g., KB931678).

In other countries, see
http://support.microsoft.com/default...r=securityhome "No-Charge
Support...for virus and other security-related" issues in right-hand menu
for localized contact information.

For more information about how to contact Microsoft for support issues,
visit the International Support Web site:

It is also good practice to let your frustrations reflect on your problem
being unresolved rather than the advice/help being given too you :-)
Freudi has infinite patience - others don't - this may be why others have
not responded to you plea.

Rgds
Antioch
