After installing this update and rebooting computer as instructed, Windows XP
Professional, with SP3 "locks up" when clicking on Internet Explorer.
Problem persisted even after numerous reboots.
Removing the update cured the problem.
Is there a bug with this update?

This update stopped GMail working on my PC (XP Pro, SP3): the inbox
would only load in basic HTML mode. Uninstalling KB958687 fixed the
problem.

After installing KB958687 on my Vista Sp1 I was unable to surf the internet
with either IE or FireFox. So yes, I would say there are bugs involved with
this hotfix.
My problem was solved by uninstalling the hotfix...

Yeah yeah, not XP i know, but similar problem caused by the same hotfix..

Yes,
we have also problems with it.
After installing this update, it's nearly unpossible to connect to the domain.
I'm in office today and remove this update from all servers and workstations.
