Security Update for Windows XP

I keep getting messages that updates are ready to install. I click on install
and a few minutes later it says Security Update for Windows Xp did not
install. Error code: KB 914798. Any ideas on how to fix this?

KB914798 was released 3 years ago. Did you just reinstall WinXP for some
reason?

Right-click on My Computer | select Properties: What WinXP version is
displayed here?
