security updates 0kb...why?

went to windows update...it lists that i really need a host of security
updates eg.KBand load of numbers. i need loads. however they are all zero
kilobytes. do i really need them if they seem to contain nothing???

They are 0 becuase your PC has already downloaded the files. They current
reside on your PC, but have not been installed, thats why they appear in the
list, but with a size of 0 (the 0 is the amount of data that needs to be
downloaded, since you alreayd have them, they are 0).

So install them, any updates are useful to have.
