security updates, error code 8020000E

Greetiings, all
I've been trying to update my computer with Cumulative Security Update for
Internet Explorer for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (KB834707) four times, and
all times have failed with error code 8020000E. Not sure what to do about
this, and can't find anything about this error code.

Can anyone help?

Hi

Error 0x8020000E is:

BG_E_VOLUME_CHANGED

"The destination volume has changed. If the disk is removable, it
might have been replaced with a different disk. Reinsert the
original disk and resume the job."

Rename (or just delete) the SoftwareDistribution folder and
see if it helps.

You can use the procedure described here:

Note that a side effect of renaming or deleting the SoftwareDistribution
folder is that you lose your WU v5 History listing (not critical).

(later on, you can just delete the renamed SoftwareDistribution
folder)

for WinXP SP2 from here:
