security updates not downloading

I am having trouble installing Microsoft Net Framework Version 2.0(KB928365)
and Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB928366). I am by no means a smart person
when it comes to computer stuff. So if anyone has a easy to understand fix
for this problem I would surely be greatful.

Try this, it worked for me with the same problem.

Follow these directions:

Download and run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, and remove the .NET
framework 1.1 from the machine.

Download .NET framework 1.1 from the Microsoft website and install it

Reboot your machine, then install .NET 1.1 SP1 from the Microsoft website
and reboot your computer again. Then try to take the update once again.

..NET Framework 1.1 - This download took forever and never finished so I
cancelled it and went to FileHippo to download the file.
