See background pic for a msn live 8.5

Hello. I am trying to figure out where my PC stores the background share
pictures in the conversation tab. I have vista and I am using Windows
Live Messenger 8.5. I lose that pic and it is very important to me.

Greetings jerv,

To get to the folder containing these files, go to the following folder (depending on Windows
version):

On XP:
\Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\LiveID\ObjectStore\Backgr ounds.

and on Vista:
\Users\username\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\Messenger\ LiveID\ObjectStore\Backgrounds

Where username is your Windows username and LiveID is your Windows Live ID e-mail address.

Additionally, some of these folders will be hidden by default, to see them simply press the
Alt key on the keyboard in any Windows Explorer window to bring up the toolbar, click Tools,
then Folder Options, then the View tab, and then choose 'Show hidden files and folders'.
After click OK, they should appear with the other folders.

I'm also looking for the background pics.

However the folder above contains only .ID2 and .DT2 files

Where are the background pictures?
How do i open them, please?

I'm using Live Messanger 9 and Windows XP
