Semi-automatic Update

I have my system set to "Download updates for me but let
me choose when to install them."

My question: where are these downloaded updates stored
before I install them?

usually when u have system dl for u an icon will just pop
up in the taskbar saying that the updates are ready to
install and u click on the icon to start installing
