Clicking bottom part of that button gets a context menu with several

Clicking the top part of that button initiates a send / receive.

Hi, Jaypie.
As you said, "There is no ' send and receive ' in WLM." Both searcher and
you are running the "Wave 3" version of WLM, where that is true.
Many of us have downloaded the "Wave 4" beta. You may or may not be happy
to know that the "Send/Receive" button has returned in this beta build.
It's on the Home tab of the new "Ribbon". Clicking that button gets a
context menu with several choices.
This newest beta has both good and bad features (such as the inability to
add the > before quoted text). You can download it and try it for yourself

There is no ' send and receive ' in WLM.
You have to use the " Synchronize " button in order to send and receive
mail or posts in newsgroups.
