Send e-mail grayed out in ie7 and ie8

I am having the same problem with Win7, ie8 and using Thunderbird as by
default email provider. I can't send any email either using the tools or
send menu items; thunderbird works fine on it's own!

Might be th same problem but you have a different environment (OS,
background jobs, hardware, etc). In fact, in a later reply, MarySE said she
is using Windows Vista. Well, that's not what you are using. Start your
own thread. Don't hijack someone else's thread (especially one that is over
a month old).

I am having the same problem mine is Windows 7 when I open a site I cannot
click on page them email link it is grayed out also....I can copy from the
address bar then paste it in the email but I want it back the way it was..

Go to Start - Default Programs - Set Program Access and Computer Defaults -
Custom - see double down arrow at right - click that - check "Use my current
.. . . . " and check the box "Enable access . . . . "
