Dear Sirs,
For the past couple of days I have lost my "Nudge" facility or button on my Live Hotmail. I wondered if I had accidently deleted it, so I have been looking for a way to download it (again. ) However, looking up on the web under Windows Live Hotmail NUdge, etc, I see forums galore on Lack of Nudges, and cases similiar to mine. I have lost my nudge totally, and cannot nudge any one but they can nudge me. ",Nudging" for the uninitiated, is a button that gently brings attention to their friend online that you want to chat to them, it is similar to ringing their doorbell if you like. Anyhow, I really miss it!! Yes, Nudge still exists out there, my friends have it.
Please reinstate the Nudge. It's a useful piece of kit.
Yours Faithfully,
Bubblebat

Either you're using the wrong version (like Windows Messenger instead of Live Messenger,
although the interface is completely different) or you have the toolbar hidden that has this
button
You can check the status of the toolbar by opening up a conversation window, pressing Alt on
the keyboard, choose Tools, then Show toolbars, and make sure that Formatting is checked
Alternatively, you can trigger a nudge in a conversation by pressing Alt-N on the keyboard

Messenger 2008 Ver 8.5.130
I have used it before from the 'action' menu - but now it only allows 'wink'
can you see it on the action menu
I feel sure the nudge feature has been withdrawn
