sending to groups

I created a group of 189. Emails to the group will not send and give an
error number. Is it failing because the group is too large? Is there a way
of dividing it into smaller groups without have to build them one address at
a time?

Your mail service provider sets the limit for how many contacts you can
send to in one message. Check with them.
