when looking at a folder with pics , I click on top of the window to email
the selected pic, , I choose the size and Attach. Where does it go? Shouldn't
it open a new email with the pic already attached to it? Also is there a size
limit for email from WIndow Mail?

I preferably email pictures from within Windows Photo Gallery which gives
you the option of selecting appropriate sizes to send by email.

Have you setup a default email client in the OS? Open Windows Mail and type
in your contact information.

The default mailer is supposed to open. Try these steps:

Click Start, select Default Programs
Click Set program access and computer defaults
Click Custom, and select Windows Mail
Click OK

Then, follow these steps:

Click Set your default programs
Select your mail client from the list
Click Set this program as default
Click OK
