Nope, no problems here with XP SP3. Which updates were installed ?
Either check in the WindowsUpdate.log, loacted in WINDOWS, or the
ReportingEvents.log [scroll all the way to the bottom of both logs for
the most recent updates installed], located in WINDOWS\Software
Distribution, or, Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel [ make sure
the 'Show updates' box is checked, top right. Then scroll down to
'Windows XP -Software Updates '. Use the date of the updates
installations to see which of the September updates installed ]
Also, check your User Account Temp folder and use Disk Cleanup [Start >
Programs [AllPrograms] > Accessories > System Tools ] if you find it
rather large ... Start > Run > type in %temp%
Click OK or press Enter and your User Account Temp folder will open.
