Essentially, you are doing the same thing as installing
online, only in an offline way. Thus, your second path is
the best way to go. That is:
There are 4 patches: a, b, c, and d.
- d is the same but later patch as a.
- b and c are independently different patches, which are
older than a, but younger than d.
You should install in date order: a, b, c, d.
Please do this and let us know how you did.
