I get the error 0x800A138F on Windows Update for Advanced Server 2000.

My time and date are correct, and I'm in the right timezone.

I tried to delete the content of the WindowsUpdate folder (as per the online
help), leaving the iuhist.xml file. I then got error 0x800c0008. I Followed
the online help for this error, and cleared the cache and cookies, and now
I'm back at the original error.

Any ideas?

Thanks

R

Thanks.

It turned out to be the Sygate Personal Firewall that for some reason was
not allowing Windows Update to work. Looks like I'm going to have to trudge
through the logs to find out exactly what it was blocking.
