server 2008 - unattended - which setting?

Hello,

deploying Server 2008...

I'm looking through the 'unattended windows setup reference' and I see, for
example, the IIS-ASPNET setting listed MANY times, but in different places
within the answer file hierarchy...

for example, its here:

IIS-WebServerRole\IIS-WebServer\IIS-ApplicationDevelopment\IIS-ASPNET

and here:

IIS-WebServerRole\IIS-WebServer\IIS-ApplicationDevelopment\IIS-ISAPIExtensions\IIS-ASPNET

and several other places...

the problem is the description is exactly the same in each place: "enables
support for asp.net applications"... so uh, ya I need to do that, so which
setting to use? I assume I will run into this for other components/features
I want to add as part of my unattended installs so how do you find out which
to use?

Hello Meinolf,

Thanks for the reply. I must be missing something. That is what I've been
looking at, only in the offline chm file format, and I can't find where it
actually explains what to use where? For example, the description "enables
support for asp.net applications" is used for all occurences of IIS-ASPNET.
I don't see any further info to help you know which one to use?

Hello James,

Think i misread your posting a bit, sorry for that.

Have a look here:
http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/133/u...install-iis-7/

And i would post questions about IIS7 to the IIS NG:
microsoft.public.inetserver.iis

Best regards
