Having an issue right now and i'm hoping someone might have experienced it
before.
The servers below are running Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition X64 SP2
as Virtual Machines on a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise X64 Hyper-V Host
If I log into server 3 with accounts from a specific OU the server will blue
screen. The complicated part in this, is that I can log into server 2 which
is built at the same time with all the same settings, updates, etc. These
are basically clones
On Server 1 the accounts will hang, but can be logged out
On Server 2 the accounts will login without issue
On Server 3 the accoutns will begin to login and after saying Preparing Your
Desktop the screen will go blue and any any attempt to log off the account
will blue screen the server
Another level of complication is I rebuilt server 3 from scratch with and
without deleting the Virtual machines, I also tried sysprepping Server 2 and
making a copy of the VHD's.
All the times the exact same error occured.
Now the fellow who initially setup server 3 and the user account was saying
he had modified the Primary Group for these accounts pointing them to the
group to which they are a member up rather then the domain user group.
One last porition of this is that are production side is not experiencing
these same problems and they were built the same as well.
I was hoping someone might be able to explain what was happening.
