I need to know if there's any recovery from the installation of automatic
Microsoft Critical Update for GDI. Recenly I installed a set of updates to
an SBS 2003 ... after doing so the server required rebooting and then it
would continue to reboot itself over and over again ... the system providor
said that this had happen to another customer and they had tried everything
and ended up reloading the operating system from scratch ... after hearing
that it happend to me they experimented with another server and install the
updated one at a time an found that the GDI critical update killed the
computer and there was no seeming recovery ... this server had just been
built, it took days worth of man hours to install the system and accounting
files and now it's all lost.

Ugh...well, I'd hope you have regular backups of your server anyway....do
you know the KB number for the critical update that caused this, and can you
boot into safe mode and uninstall it?
Generally on servers I update only one thing at a time, reboot, make sure
all is good, and then continue - makes it easier to figure out what is
causing the problems.
