I know in the old days of Windows NT, Service Packs were to be installed on
servers from lowest to highest -- basically, installed on member servers
first then on the PDC last.

Is this still the case with Windows Server 2003?

I need to get my servers up to SP2, and I need to know which servers should
be upgraded first. All servers are running Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard
Edition Service Pack 1.

Hello Obi,

No order needed, just make sure you have a backup in case something fails.
But if the servers have no problems at all there shouldn't be a problem.
We use WSUS to get all current updates and it works like a charm.
