Yes, that is the site. I have now tried 6 times with no luck. Each time,
after 30-40% download has been completed, I get the message "Internet
Explorer cannot download smart_web_printing4.0.exe from ftp.hp.com. The
connection with the server was reset".
I have looked at my Internet Explorer defaults and all the Extensions and
Protocols are enabled, including ftp url: File transfer protocol. I then
sent an email to hp.za requesting help to download from HP's server (as per
MR. Arnold). This request has been acknowledged.
What I don't understand is that I have downloaded and installed other much
larger programs from other sites with no problems at all. Why I wanted this
download is that I got a message from Windows in my Problem Reports and
Solutions that this would help with my "Internet Explorer stopped working"
problem. With all this hooha I feel that I could probably live with the
problem though - it is not as bad as it used to be!
Thanks for your input. Suggestions are always welcome and I am learning all
the time! - JD
