My computer was damaged by a virus and now Movie Maker no longer works. How
do I download it again. I just spent an hour going around in circles on the
update site.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

Go download it:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...r/default.mspx There's
information on the page, and a link for the free download.

Thanks, but that's where I began my search. It seems that it is impossible to
actually download anything. It just redirects me to the update page, which
doesn't help. I downloaded the pack 2 months before my virus, and it won't
let me download it again. Is there a way around this ?

Post the URL for the forum thread where you've posted your HijackThis log
for interpretation by an expert.

What "doesn't work", please?

This conversation would be more appropriate in WinXP General newsgroup.

With Windows Movie Maker When I load vids and click save to disc the Time
Remaining goes up thru thousands of minutes and then just sits there. Tried
to use Nero and everything ran as it should have but the burner did not burn
the disc. It said that I need WNASPI32.DLL

It's a Nero problem, not a Movie Maker, Windows or Windows Update problem.

You could update Nero or... http://www.nero.com/en/WNASPI32.DLL.html

You don't wanna open it. Move it to C:\Windows\System32 folder.

Nero [Support]:
