SERVICE PACK 2 RUINED 2 COMPUTERS, NEED SOME HELP

ok, i need some help big time, i installed service pack 2, i cant play any
of my good games like any of the commanding conquers and i cant install some
of my other programs. I seem to get an error that says
16 bit windows subsystem
C:\Windows\System32\Autexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running
ms-dos and microsfot windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the
applicatoin
close ignore

and well, i kno the program works on my one xp computer without having those
updates, it says that for when i try to install commanding conquier 2. Then
on my other computer i had the xp service pack installed on it, and well i
uninstalled it and and i get that 16 windows substem error and i can't share
files on it, i can share the internet but no files. please help me, this xp
service pack thing has ruined 2 differnet computers. please help me out.

Hi

Your autoexec.nt problem is most likely caused by a worm or by
AVAST (antivirus software).

To solve the problem:

Error message when you install or start an MS-DOS or 16-bit
Windows-based program
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;324767

You can put back the standard version of autoexec.nt/config.nt by
copying a backup copy held in %windir%\repair\ to %windir%\system32\
(%windir% is typically C:\Windows) instead of using the procedure in
the KB article above.


Could be caused a trojan or something similar, e.g.
TrojanDownloader.Win32.Dia.a, more about this here:

Also, AVAST (antivirus software) can be the cause if you
have WinXP SP2 installed:
