Service Pack 2 won't download and install Error code OxFFFFFC06

I have a little icon that tells me that my system isn't running the lastest
version of windows xp and that I need to update it. I go to windows update
and it says I need to download and install service pack 2. I attempt to do
this, I go through the screen asking for permission and it goes to the screen
that states that updates are downloading and being installed. After a short
while it states that it cannot download sp2 and gives me a fail error of
OxFFFFFC06. Any ideas?
