Use this method to run System Restore from a command prompt. Then roll
the system back to a restore point at least one day prior to the
attempted installations.

When you're finished, go back to Windows Updates but DO NOT install the
VML update with the ones you were installing. Do that afterwards.
You may need to access the Windows Update Catalog if the updates are no
longer showing as needed :
