Today I installed the service package. When I finished
downloading it I restarted my computer. It took my
computer forever to restart. Once it was restarted it
literaly took 5-10 minutes to start a program.

I did virus scans and spyware scans and those operations
scaned at a normal speed. The internet worked...
everything worked. Overall the computer was very slow.

When I restarted my computer in safe mode my computer was
not slow anymore. I removed the packageand now my
computer is back to normal speed in normal mode. Is
there anything to fix this so I can have the service
package?

Thanks,

Justin

Hey Justin;

I had the same type of problem, along with many more (could not get certain
websites to come up, explorer would just close).

How did you "remove" the SP2 update? I tried, but looking for an unistall
and could not find "ONE" master unistall, but several smaller ones and it
never really removed all the files. Even went back to a "restore point"
before the install, and all the files were still there. Any suggestions?

What do you mean "several smaller ones"?
There will be only one entry "Service Pack 2" in Add/Remove Programs.
If you are seeing "SP-2" at the end of some entries in Add/Remove
Programs, those are not SP-2.
Those are updates that will be replaced once SP-2 is installed.
If that describes you, SP-2 is not installed.
