How do i find out if i have it and how do i remove it?

Couple of ways - start | run, type "winver" with no quotes, hit enter.

Why would you want to remove it, if it is installed? You really ought to
have SP2 on all XP machines. It can be a pain to install on a PC that has
old device drivers, incompatible software, or spyware/malware/viruses, but
you should fix the underlying problems, not uninstall the SP.

Go to Start > Run and type: WINVER , and hit enter.

If SP2 was preinstalled on your PC by a computer
manufacturer, it cannot be removed.

It is not advisable to remove a Service Pack once it
is installed....it is a major security update for Windows.
