I installed service pack 2 today only to find when i restarted a blue screen
comes up and flashes then restarts, i have tried all types of safe mode, and
every single booting option like debugging, etc, But it all ends in the same
thing if i choose "dont restart on system failure the blue screen says: A
problem has detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your
computer,
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
at the bottom the technical information:
***STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00FC7036,0X00000000,0X804E4C2A)
Help someone, i would think downloading from microsoft is safe but i wont
ever again for anything as it seems they dont test it before it comes out!

You are not alone, I have updated my Wondows XP Home machine and had the
exact some thing, it flashes so fast I cannont read it. The only thing I
have been able to do is to go back to a previous restore point. I have
performed this 4 times on this machine since last friday same result each
time. My other two XP pro machines where fine just this one causing
problems. I will watch to see what resolutions come up here.
