Why do you want to disable services?

Whether you can disable a service depends on whether you or Windows are
directly or indirectly making use of the service. For example, if you are
not using your SBS server for emails then you could disable all of the
exchange related services, but if you do use it for email then that would be
a bad idea. You might find that some services you could disable with no
apparent problem and yet days or weeks later start to encounter issues
because of it. As a guide, I'd leave all the services alone.

Sorry, I appreciate this isn't the answer you were looking for.

Brian is absolutely correct here. In the old days, it made sense to look at
what services could be disabled, since MS enabled a bunch of stuff that
didn't really need to be enabled. But those days are long gone, and on any
2008 or later server, it's a really bad idea to start messing with MS
services. The new Server Manager does a good job of enabling only that which
needs to be enabled. And SBS also does a good job of only installing and
turning on the services it requires. So leave well enough alone unless you
want to create an unsupported and misbehaving system.

You have just told us the problem, you don't have anything like enough
RAM installed. 8GB is the bare minimum for even two or three users,
12GB is considered good.

I'm not sure you're going to win by disabling things, with 6GB
installed all the free memory will be soaked up by other things. I know
of a 'ghost' SBS2008 which has four or five users created, but is not
yet in use. It has 8GB of RAM, none of it free. But let us know how you
get on.

By the way, this newsgroup no longer exists on Microsoft's servers, it
was abandoned by MS last year. Current activity takes place on:

I just picked up a customer with 10 computers and 12 users that has been
running SBS 08 since it came out on a HP server with 4GB of ram - the
idiot company that installed didn't use any of the wizards either.
