Your system probably does not have a parallel port since most modern systems
have gone exclusively to USB or Firewire.
You can safely ignore this warning, but if you want to research it a bit
more, there is a lot of documentation on the following website.

Can't really say. I don't think it does. but I could be wrong. The machine
is a HP Pavilion a1723w. Manufactured Jan 2007.

Nothing in my system information says I have a parallel port. The printer
I'm using is USB.
