Hello, Im a new Vista user and one thing I really liked about XP was th
ability to have my account automatically log out after a certain amoun
of idle time. I share my computer with my girlfriend and I don'
always remember to log off my account and I'd rather not have her on m
account. (we both like that fact that we have separate accounts wit
privacy) Does Vista have this feature? If so how do I access it?
have tried going through my control panel looking for options but com
up empty. The closet thing I can find is putting it in sleep mode.
do not want to use sleep mode because I like to run programs throug
the night while I'm sleeping.
This actually leads to another question. Sleep mod
automatically knocks out my p2p program and stops downloads I migh
have going. I have found that logging out in Vista also does this. I
XP when it auto logged me after a certain amount of idle time, m
programs that were open still continued to run even when my girlfrien
was on her account. Is this feature part of Vista too? If so how do
set it up? Thanks for any info I can get on this

Hello Silverhawk and Rhadoth

You could do this by setting the screensaver settings to resume back t
the logon screen after the screensaver runs. Step 9 in this tutoria
will show you how to if needed

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/85...reen-saver.htm

For the same thing from comming back from sleep mode, see this tutoria
for how to enable it

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/10...ion-wakeup.htm

Hope this helps
Shaw
