Hi, I'm a UK user and trying to open a Windows Mail account but have stumbled
at the set-up stage.

What do I enter in the fields In & Out email servers?

My ISP here in the UK is TalkTalk and they are as much help as a choc teapot.

Has anyone in the UK set this up via Talktalk?

Cheers, Phil.

I've managed to solve this problem by the following actions.

1.Start Windows Mail if it is not already open.
2.Select Tools from the menu bar at the top, then Accounts.
3.Click the Add button on the right-hand side.
4.Select E-mail Account, then click Next.
5.Enter a display name and click Next.
Note: The display name is the name that the recipient will see when you send
them an email.
6.Enter your TalkTalk email address - for example,
- in the E-mail address box and click Next.
7.Enter mail.talktalk.net into Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server box.
8.Enter smtp.talktalk.net into Outgoing mail server (SMTP) name box.
9.Click Next.
10.In the E-mail username box, type your full TalkTalk email address in
lowercase.
11.Type your password in the Password box, ensuring that it is case-sensitive.
12.Tick Remember password to save your password. If this option is not
ticked, Windows Mail will ask for the password when it tries to download
email.
13.Click Next and then Finish

I hope this will help other UK users who have accounts with TalkTalk.

Phil.

Phil (If you come back to look...) it will probably help others in the
future so thanks for posting it.
