Ok, I am running Vista 64 Bit Home Premium and I am having an occasiona
BSOD. I want Vista to write a log file with all the information fro
the BSOD to the file and save it so that when I get back up and runnin
I will have a full log of what the heck happened

Can you suggest a method for automatic logging when BSOD occurs?

Secondly, is there a troubleshooting tool that I could use that wil
write a log file of the event?

This would greatly help me to identify the entire problem, or trac
down what is happening, since the BSOD is so fast between blue scree
and reboot I can't possibly write down what it is saying

Thanks for the help :

It's already recorded in the event viewer under the system logs unless
you've changed the default settings in the advanced system properties.

First thing I'd do is go to the advanced system properties/startup and
recovery settings and disable the automatic restart on system failure. This
way you can actually record the contents of the blue screen for later
review.
