Hello,

Is there a way to set all folders to the same view when initially opened?

I want all folders to open to DETAILS view.

The Folder and Search Options from the Organize menu does not seem to work
the way it did with XP where you could set the default view of all folders.

Thanks if you can help.

FK

Hi FK,

If Vista will not remember you folder view settings, then do all of
method two here to reset it so it will remember them.

Now, take a look at this Folder Template tutorial for more on this
subject and as a reference for the instructions below.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/77...templates.html

1. Click View and choose Details.
2. Click Tools and choose Folder Options.
3. Click View tab and click Apply to Folders.
4. Click Ok.

Hi FKlassen--

1) Set any folder to DETAILS view.
2) On the tool bar of that folder under Tools click "Folder Options"> "View
Tab">Apply to all folders button."

For further ref on setting explorer folders, see:

Good luck,

CH
