Modify your regkeys with a logon script:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International","sLongDate","dd MMMM yyyy","REG_SZ"
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International","sShortDate","dd/MM/yyyy","REG_SZ"
where you change the combination of d/m/y for your needs. Try it out in a
test machine.
