Setting up another email account

Hi,

I am new to windows vista and I am having a problem setting up an email
account for another user. I go to tools and then accounts and follow all the
instructions. I am told that the account has been set up succesfully however
a messege then pops up saying Windows Security logon to pop.ntlworld.com (1)
Please verify that both the username and password are correct for your mail
server. I do not know what to enter at this point.
Please can somebody help as its driving me mad!

You need to enter your user name and password, of course! If you don't
know it, call ntlworld and ask them.

You need to enter the username and password for that email account. If
you don't know them, ask the person for whom you are setting up the
email account. This has nothing to do with your operating system
(Vista). If you are still unsure what to do, go to your ISP's website
and look for instructions how to set up email. Most ISP's have some sort
of "walkthrough" to show you how to set up common email clients with
their servers. If your ISP doesn't have information for Windows Mail
yet, use the instructions for Outlook Express.

Hi Lauren

It sounds like the account settnigs are incorrect and that you hav
something like "Log on using Secure Password authentification", "M
server requires authentification", or one of the "This server requires
secure connection" checked. Double check your settings against th
instructions from Virgin Media's webpage. It is the same for Window
Mail
