Setting up DFS with Win 2003 DCs and win 2008

Our domain is made up of 2 2003 DCs with a 2003 file server. We have setup a
new 2008 file server and would like to start DFS between the the older 2003
file server and the new 2008 file server.
The DCs and old file server are not 2003 R2 but only 2003.
Will I need at least one DC to be 2003R2 or 2008 for DFS?

Hello Dave,

DFS can be hosted in both 2003 and 2008 servers in your environment. The DCs
can be any of this two SKUs as well. The downside with having this mixture is
that you're not going to be able to benefit from the scalability improvement
that Windows 2008 servers provide
