Settting up the FAX to send

New computer with VISTA. How do I set up the FAX to send? I can't even find
where it is! Thanks

What version of Vista?

Home Basic and home Premium do not have fax built in.

Are you perhaps using Vista Home Premium? If so, then it does not have FAX
built into it.

Fax option is only available in Vista Business, Ultimate and Enterprise. If
you want to fax you will have to use third party faxing software.

Never mind. I just learned that Vista Home Premium doesn't have any FAX
capabilities. I wish I could have XP back. It was much more user friendly and
had the features I want! But VISTA came on the new computer.

Just tested it - I confirm it works. I couldn't see how to design a cover
sheet - I suppose it's in there somewhere? I find that it will also
successfully dial telephone numbers out of the phone book. Doug

In the Search box, type fax and it should find the Fax and Scan software if
it's in your VISTA.
