Setup cannot copy the file branches.inf SP 2 update problem

I get the error message:

Setup cannot copy the file branches.inf

Ensure that the location specified below is correct or change it and insert
'Windows XP Service Pack 2 Source Files' in the drive you specify.

Anyway I do this and try everything and nothing works.

Remove the 'Read Only' property from branches.inf and branches.pnf
in Windows directory \WINDOWS\inf .
