I have the same LAN as you. I worked around it in a way that suits me. In
vista, I copied all the folders in "documents" to "public". I can access them
in "public" from XP, work on them, and save the changes. I also have the
same Vista settings as you do. No passwords, no user accounts to worry about.
In XP, I copied "MY Documents" to "Shared Documents", which Vista has access
to.
It works for me. Hope it helps.
