Next i double clicked the iso file and automaticly nero burning rom opend

speed. When it was ready i put the dvd in my reader and nothing happend, i
went to the drive and clicked explore. All files were there. But if i clickt
on setup.exe it said

''E:\setup.exe is not a valid Win32-application''

You are trying to install the x64 version from your 32 bit OS. You need
to boot from the DVD and clean install Vista x64 onto a new and clean
partition.

I would download and use the 32 bit version, more drivers etc. but do
you really want to use the 'upgrade' option if you do the only way to
get back to XP is a full format of the drive and a new install of XP.
Depending on the amount of free space on your hdd I would have thought a
dual boot solution was better. So if when you install Vista onto a new
partition it doesn't really matter if the install goes belly up you can
always go back to your original OS.
