thanks you all, sfc/scannow still stops at 76 % Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation, now it shows Errors, but I have no clue what to do with them. hope you don't object for having pasted the logs here. Forget anything applying to setting.ini as it a file one writes changes to.
