Shafted - Access denied to My Documents after Windows Update

Hi all

I tried to install the latest Windows update last night, but my machine
crashed whilst restarting and I could not even get into windows via
safe mode.

I took a gamble by reinstalling Windows as I hadn't backed up 'My
Documents' in ages, but luckily they are still there.

Anyway, my problem is that 'David's Documents' was only accessible by
the user 'David' and not the other people who used my machine. When I
try to open the folder that I can see in 'Documents and Settings' I get
a message saying 'Access Denied'. I believe this is because the user
'David' was the only person who could access 'David Documents'.

Hopefully that explains it. Is there any way I can access that folder?
Any help would be great!

Many thanks in advance

David
