How to Share Calendar on Same Computer

I just got a new notebook, and want to share a calendar between my wife and
I. I want her to have her own user account for a variety of reasons but I
can't get the data updated correctly.

I've tried using a calendar in the /public/public documents folder, and it
can be opened but isn't updating correctly. There has to be a way to do
this...
